IQS Tech Factory has launched the third edition of IQS Next Tech, the only industrial acceleration programme in Spain, which chooses 10 science or tech-based start-ups – biotechnology, MedTech, energy, food, etc. – and mentors them for six months to transform their prototypes into an initial production series. It also helps them find industrial partners and domestic and international investors.
The start-ups attend training sessions, visit factories and get the advice of mentors specialising in different areas of industry, like Marta Príncep, managing partner at BHV Partners; Xavier Farrés, director of operations at Uriach; Oriol Estrada, director of innovation at the Catalan Health Institute; and Enrique Shadah, director of strategic relations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), among others.
IQS Next Tech is supported by ACCIÓ (Government of Catalonia).
