Marta Príncep joins the jury of the 2022 Expansión StartUp Awards

Yesterday, the newspaper Expansión awarded the most innovative start-ups in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem in six categories: health and biotechnology, mobility, environment and energy, fintech, food and agrotech, and telecommunications and industry 4.0.

The awards ceremony for the fourth edition of the Expansión StartUp Awards was held at the Antigua Fábrica Damm in Barcelona and brought together a hundred entrepreneurs and C-Level executives from companies that promote and support the ecosystem. A total of 71 start-ups competed for the awards.

This year’s jury was made up of renowned experts from each sector, such as Garbiñe Henry, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Deusto Emprende; Javier Jiménez, CEO at Lanzadera; Mar Galtés, Corporate Development Director at Tech Barcelona; Marta Martínez, Head of Entrepreneurship, Transformation and People at Cebek; José Antonio Aranda, Innovation Director at Cellnex; Antonio Durán, Global Innovation Head at Abertis; Laura Gil, Digital Transformation Director at Damm; Gemma Beltrán, Director at CaixaBank “DayOne”, and Marta Príncep, CEO and Co-Founder of BHV Partners, who has joined this year’s edition as a venture builder specialising in healthcare.

During the welcome, Ana Isabel Pereda, Director of Expansión, said that “Spain is one of the European countries that attracts most investment for start-ups. We are in a moment of economic caution, but there are reasons to trust in entrepreneurship”.

“If we want to retain talent and continue driving innovation that has an impact on society, start-ups are the solution,” commented Marta Príncep.
