Biography

A former researcher turned R&I manager with a broad knowledge of the Spanish, European and American research systems. Experienced in research and innovation and technology transfer in basic, clinical and biomedical research.

Head of R&I at a university hospital. Since 2014, she has been an evaluator expert and consultant for the European Commission. She is also currently chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red de Entidades Gestoras de Investigación Clínica (REGIC) and mentor of the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) Women Leadership Programme.

In the past, she was a member of the Research and Technology Committee at Coordinadora Catalana de Fundacions, an ethics evaluator expert at the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) and advisor to the Vicerectorate of Research at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.

She has a postdoctoral education at Imperial College London and has an internship at the Office of Cooperative Research (OCR) at Yale University.

She is interested in the fields of bioethics, Research and Responsible Innovation (RRI), open science, entrepreneurship, social impact of health research and research communication.
