With a degree in Biological Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a Master in Biotech business management and experts in international R & D & I programs, Irene Sánchez has been linked to the public sector as a senior manager of European framework programs at the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Carlos III Health Institute and National Center for Biotechnology-CSIC.

She is currently responsible for Innovation in the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer and regularly participates as a teacher in Universities and business schools teaching topics related to the management of innovation programs in the area of biomedicine.
