MATCH biosystems, a start-up in the BHV Partners portfolio with investment from Clave Capital through Tech Transfer UPV, won second prize in the health and biotechnology category of the 2023 Expansión StartUp Awards. Nimble Diagnostics and Live Fresh Biotech won first and third, respectively.
The Expansión StartUp Awards are organized by the financial paper Expansión, Abertis, CaixaBank and Cellnex Telecom, with collaboration from BHV Partners, Deusto Emprende and the Regional Development Agency of the Region of Murcia. The health and biotechnology category recognizes projects with developments and research helping to digitalize medicine and provide more effective treatment for various diseases.

MATCH biosystems specializes in research and development of devices for clinical diagnosis of sepsis and infectious diseases in critically ill patients.

Founded in 2020, the company’s first development is a diagnostic solution for invasive candidiasis.
